2013-2014 club membership form is now available to download from Fees/Membership tab above.  You are welcome to renew your membership or join our club now for the new season starting in October 2013.  Alternatively you may do this at our club day in October.

Please be advised that our track will close for the winter months of July, August and September.

Congratulations to our following club members who competed at the NZ Dragon Junior MX Nationals.  It was a full on three days of hard out racing on a difficult slippery dirt MX track with massive ruts.  Overall placings listed below.  Well done to all of you:-


Leroy Porteous - 11-12yrs 85cc 16th
Jake McClure - 13-16yrs 85cc 37th
Sam Stevens -  13-16yrs 85cc 38th (after big crash & being run into by another bike then riding injured)
Jamie Scott -12-14yrs 125cc 16th (bike issues first two races, best finish 13th place)
Elijah Shepherd - 12-14yrs 125cc 23rd
Cameron Hill - 12-14yrs 125cc 18th (after breaking hand in 4th race)
Macaulay Bonham - 15-16yrs 125cc 22nd
Cameron Duckmanton - 15-16yrs 125 7th

Maungaturoto Motorcycle Club requires new committee members to start the new season in October. The following positions will be available.


Secretary

  • Take Minutes at Committee meetings
  • To circulate the minutes to Committee members for verification
  • Distribute to Committee members, via email and prior to a committee meeting, a true and accurate recording of the minutes of Committee
       meetings in order for them to be recorded as read and accepted at the next meeting.
  • Document inward and outward correspondence via email
  • Help support our number one Race Secretary when requested


Second Race Secretary

  • Help support our number one Race Secretary on club days with sign on and lap scoring.


Mini’s Co-ordinator (two people needed)

  • Manage sign on at club days for mini riders (1 person)
  • Supervise mini riders on track including practice & operate race board ( 2 people)
  • Point score mini races (2 people)
  • Calculate race points for mini members and email them to website co-ordinator within three days of race day
  • Represent our mini riders by making your opinion count. Let us know how we can improve or make positive changes

Being part of a motorcycle club committee will allow you to connect with like-minded riders who share some of your same interests and values.  Our club days can only operate successfully with the team work of committee members on the day.

Huge congratulations to Simone who has won the MX Code and Cullen the ATV MX Code last night at the ASB Awards

Simone Sidwell has won the Kaipara award for the MX Code and Youth Achievements. Congratulations Simone well done
